We are an art studio and preschool in San Francisco where artists of all ages can come to create, paint, mold and fold. Pixie Hall Studios offers a variety of art classes everyday, as well as event space for your next party!

 Architecture and the City -Landscapes and Cityscapes
September 23rd (10:00 – 2:00)

Throughout the month of September, the AIA San Francisco is sponsoring the largest architectural and design festival in the U.S., including a series of architectural tours, film screenings, exhibitions, and design lectures. At Pixie Hall Studios, we invite all neighborhoods to participate in exploring and recreating the architectures of the city. Individuals will develop drawing skills and personal style through observation, imagination, and techniques. In sketching spaces and places we will explore line, shape, form, value, texture, and composition by drawing animals, people, portraits, still life, and autumn trees, leaves, skies. Art mediums used will be: pencils, charcoal, pastels, water color and ink. We will start the day by exploring our surroundings and our feelings and find our ability to observe and freely express our emotions of the city. Individuals will learn the architectural history of San Francisco, and will have the opportunities to recreate spaces and places in San Francisco both in 2d and 3d form.


Dia de los Muertos!
October 21st & 28th(OPTIONAL 2-DAY CLASS!)

For the month of October, Pixie Hall Studios will be creating and setting up a Day of the Dead altar to monument those whom we have lost and to celebrate the people and things we want to remember and honor. Individuals will learn and create papel picados and cut out shapes and patterns to fabricate deeper meanings and connection with friends, peers, and members of our family. Individuals will also learn to make and create 3D paper skulls. For those who take the 2 day workshop, individuals are invited to create an ongoing shadow box, which is an enclosed glass box containing objects representing personal significance and artistic meaning.


Date Night: Blackout Glow Art!!!
November 4th (5-8pm)
Ages- 4-9

Theme: Glow Art- Painting in the dark

Come rave with Pixie Hall Studios for a glow in the dark art and science experiment! The studio is blacking out the windows to create a dark room to concoct neon glow mixtures and paints using science and our senses. We will be creating glow in the dark bubbles, slime putty sculptures, paintings, games, and more.

Environmental/ Sustainable Art
November 11th (10:00 – 2:00)

This weekend is the Annual Green Festival in the Embarcadero in San Francisco that promotes sustainable change and supports the Green Movement. Vendors, presenters, sponsors come and share and discuss the contributions we can make to change the world and how we wish to see the world. Pixie Hall will also be participating in promoting interconnectedness to the natural world. The studio will open its doors to explore ways in which humans can preserve, protect, and celebrate the environment through art. Art work created will reflect on how humanity should be grounded and connected to the natural world  in our homes, our neighborhoods, cities, and the world at large.

Block Printing
Sun Prints with Cyanotype Printing Making
December 9th (10:00 – 2:00)

Come join Pixie Hall as we learn and create the art of cyanotype printing, which is a process of printing images using the sun as the source of exposure. Individuals are able to choose real life objects, create their own stencils, drawings, and photo negatives to produce blueprints on both artist paper and fabric. Students will also be able to experiment with different exposures by using different objects and image to product unique prints. Individuals will also create block prints using handmade designs to print on totes, holiday cards, papers and fabrics.  


 Winter Solstice
Soy Candle Making and Natural Aroma Therapy
December 16th (10:00 – 2:00)
Ages (7 – 13)

Come join Pixie Hall as we celebrate Winter Solstice. Individuals will make various winter crafts as well as create their own custom made scented candle and aromas. Create your own personal scent by mixing and matching a variety of different scented oils and essential oils, and learn the basics of candle making!
