They say Pixie Hall was dreamt up one fog-shrouded night in San Francisco by a family of three. Three girls, giggling and whispering mischievously together, declared on that hazy eve that the valley called Noe was missing something magical. It lacked a special haven, a place for the free spirits. A den for artists. A cozy cave for creatives. A well-lighted room for thinkers. A hollow for molders and painters. Pixie Hall.
The three pixies behind Pixie Hall are a spritely trio: a mother and her two young daughters. Kristin Scagliotti, the head pixie (and mother) wanted a place for her small pixies (and all small pixies) to thrive. A home away from home to release their young spirits and funnel their impish ways onto a blank canvas.
Kristin's study and training of art has been a long path leading up to the founding of Pixie Hall. She earned her B.A. in Liberal Arts and her Multiple Subject Teaching Credential at University of San Diego. Subsequently, Kristin received degrees in Interior Design from the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandise and in Art Education at San Francisco State University. Kristin taught for San Francisco Unified for 10 years as an elementary teacher, and created the after-school art program at Claire Lilienthal school.
